Course Certification
AHCMOM213 – Operate and Maintain Chainsaw course.
We offer small-group training sessions focused on enhancing both theoretical and practical skills for students!
Courses with a duration of 4 – 8 hours (depending on the students’ prior experience and the number of enrolled students.
Start time: 730 am
Proof Of Identification & Entry Requirements:
• Minimum age is 16 years. Unless you are 18 years of age, you need the enrolment form signed by a Guardian
• Be able to read and write basic English
• Be physically capable of working outdoors on your feet.
PPE Requirements
• Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Safety shoes or boots
• Hi-vis shirt
• A broad-brimmed sun hat and water bottle are recommended
• Provide photo identification

Course Outline
- Theory Training, Recognise and apply workplace safety procedures,Inspect site to determine layout, physical condition of structures, prevailing weather conditions, equipment requirements and potential hazards
- Check and maintain chainsaw
- Operate chainsaw
- Monitor risk control measures to ensure that they are effective and appropriate
- Reassess risk control measures as required, in accordance with changed work practices and/or site conditions and undertake alterations
- Consult with authorised personnel to ensure safety system is dismantled and removed
- Clear work area and dispose of or recycle materials
- Clean, check, maintain and store tools and equipment
